Educational Support
Providing Scholarships Opportunities
The Georgia Police Foundation provides financial assistance, to officers and their immediate families, for the pursuit of under-graduate and graduate-level courses, CTE (Career and Technical Education) courses and certifications or courses that enhance their professional effectiveness and further their career progression.
- Examples of such educational pursuits are:
- Master’s in Public Administration.
- Starting or completing a college degree.
- A lieutenant attending a leadership course.
- An officer’s child taking CTE courses in the pursuit of a technical career.
Emergency Support
Addressing Tragedy
The Georgia Police Foundation provides financial assistance when a tragedy such as death or permanent disability occurs. The foundation also provides support when a life-changing disease or medical condition threatens the financial stability and future of an officer and his or her family.
Example expenses that the foundation covers are mortgages, general living expenses, tuition expenses for surviving children and burial expenses.
