Our Mission
The History of the Foundation
The Georgia Police Foundation is a new, statewide nonprofit organization that will offer critical support and assistance to Georgia’s law enforcement community.
The primary focus of the foundation is to provide services for officers while they are alive and serving their communities.
However, the foundation also provides financial assistance in the event of death, disability and catastrophic personal events.
The Georgia Police Foundation offers services, for officers and their immediate families, in two primary areas of support
- Higher education and professional education scholarships.
- Emergency financial assistance for catastrophic events and illnesses.
All too often, officers do not have access to the resources necessary to ease their financial and emotional burdens, improve their personal and professional lives and in some cases, effectively deal with tragic situations experienced at home or on the job.
Access to the resources of the Georgia Police Foundation will allow officers to maintain or re-build stable personal lives and more effectively, safely and professionally serve and protect Georgia’s communities.
